Cover: Non-laminated single cover, printed and designed by P. Linard & Co. Ltd. This is a fragile cover, being made of textured cardboard; as a consequence, wear and rubbing are somewhat inevitable. There is some edge-wear and some corner-wear, and the back cover shows some light ring-wear. However, there are no seam-splits and no tears. The opening edges are quite clean with just a hint of feathering, but someone has written what looks like a catalogue or archive number in blue pen just inside the opening. The spine is slightly squashed and shows some light wear, but the text is still fairly legible. Still a nice cover, given its age and fragility; strictly graded as VG+.
Inner Sleeve: Original plain white paper sleeve with blue 'PATENT NO. 1,125,555' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND' text. There is a 1.5cm split along one of the side seams and a coffee/tea ring-mark on one side, but still in respectable shape for its age.
Labels: Original white labels with just a couple of faint spindle trails on both sides.
Vinyl: Looks near-mint under normal lighting. Under a halogen light I can see a few very fine, insignificant sleeve removal marks, none of which affect playback. This minor label pressing is not the best-pressed vinyl; as a consequence, there is some light surface noise, which is only noticeable in between tracks or during quieter moments. It certainly isn’t loud or intrusive and does not detract from the music itself. Otherwise, no pops, ticks, skips or distortion. A hugely enjoyable original, but there is that light surface noise, so strictly graded as EX.
Additional Info: All of the vinyl that I am selling is from my personal collection, and has been cleaned on a VPI HW 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine. After cleaning, I keep my records in ‘Mobile Fidelity’ rice paper inner sleeves and store them with the records outside of the covers.
