Working as an A&R man for Blue Beat pioneer label Melodisc Records in the late 1960s, Jack Price developed a deep affinity with Jamaican music and he began to see its enormous commercial potential and soon he branched out on his own to become a freelance producer, specialising in Rock Steady, Blue Beat and Reggae recordings. Jack Price productions delivered the Jamaican sound mixed with the funky undercurrents circulating the British session scene at the time which resulted in a unique dancefloor-friendly blend that sounds just as fantastic today as it did back then !
