Junior Wells - Hoodoo Man Blues (Delmark DL-612 Mono)
~
Here is a copy of Junior Wells' Hoodoo Man Blues. This original MONO copy really doesn't come around too often and, therefore, is a fairly rare pressing. This incredible electric blues album has had so many re-issues that sellers sometimes include little to no detail about the pressing in hope of the buyer mistaking it for an original and over-paying. I can completely assure you that I am not one of those sellers. This is the original cardboard cover MONO pressing from 1966. Featuring outstandingly tight electric blues guitar from Buddy Guy (Whose name is not shown on this cover like the later releases) and the soulful harmonica and vocals of Junior Wells. The rest of the band is nothing short of amazing on this, which I believe to be Junior Wells' best, release. Doesn't get much better than this classic!

Cover
I will be rating the cover in between a Very Good Plus and Near Mint Minus. There is no ring wear on this one, but there is some very slight dirt wear. This wear is more prominent on the back than the front. No seam splits and the spine is completely clean and visible. There is EXETREMLY slight rubbing on the bottom seam, but it is so slight it's barely worth mentioning. The opening side has some slight rubbing wear, but it isn't anywhere near as rough as it looks in the listed picture. The cardboard retains its original stiffness.
Record
The A side of the LP has some very minor scratching and sleeve scuffing. I've counted a total of three small scratches on this side, none of which span across all of the bands. I go in to close detail if I feel the scratches are deep enough to horribly affect play and these ones aren't anywhere near to being that bad. I counted one single scratch on the B side that is in the same ball park as the scratches on the A side. Nowhere near deep enough to horribly affect play. Sleeve scuffing is more minimal on this side than the A side. I will collectively rate both sides of this record as a Very Good Plus.

Grading
I do not sell records that will rate under Very Good Minus condition unless they are incredibly rare.
My ratings, which closely resemble the Gold Mine standards, are Very Good Minus, Very Good (Standard), Very Good Plus, Near Mint Minus, Near Mint (Standard), Near Mint Plus, and Mint. I do not use negatives for the Mint grading. As far as I'm concerned, if the word Mint is included in the description, there is no flaw at all that would result in a Minus.

Additional Shipping Information
I promise that your item will arrived at your door step in the same exact condition shown in these images. I use brand new LP mailers from Bags Unlimited and ALWAYS equip my shipped records with two cardboard inserts. I also remove the LP from the cover so seam splits during shipment are the least of your worries. If you have any specifications on how you'd like the package shipped, please contact me immediately after the auction. I go the extra mile to package my products so they will be ready for any sort of roughness that may occur during the shipment.
