Description

Blue Note 1530 original with 767 Lexington Ave, NYC address on both labels; Same address on bottom of back cover, deep groove. Record has “ear” and “RVG” inscribed in the dead wax. 6 tracks with Jerry Lloyd, trumpet; Sims, tenor sax; Ahmed Abdul-Malik, bass; Ed Thigpen, drums. Extremely rare. Original. A showcase for Hipp and Sims. Cover: VG. 4” and 2” split on spine; 6” and 1” split on top edge; 4” split on bottom edge. Significant edge and corner wear. A 1” x ½” irregular, small tear on insert edge on front cover. Some minor scrapes on front cover. Some light staining and light aging on the back cover. Record: VG+ to mint(-). Visually shows no wear other than rub mark on 1 track which does not affect sound. Possibly played only a few times. A few minor clicks, not loud and infrequent. Otherwise no surface noise. In fine condition in spite of the cover condition described above. Fine copy. Very heavy vinyl. Graded conservatively. Audibly checked.
