ON TO A FEW WEEKS WORTH OF 45s OF VARIOUS TYPES!!  This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1961 U.S. TRIWAY RECORDS 45 containing the surf instrumental songs titled 'Quicksand'/'The Last Sunrise'' from the Kalmar Counts.  It is Triway Records U.S. catalog number 056, green labels with silver print.  There is not much information about this record or The Kalmar Counts available on the Internet, but what there is is pretty entertaining - If you do a Google search for the Popsike record of the one and only recorded previous sale of this 45 on eBay, you will see that the seller in that auction told in his listing a crazy story about this record being a part of some classified CIA mind control experiment!!  You can choose to believe that or laugh it off, the one fact that can be believed is that this record charted in Hartford CT for a couple of weeks in 1961, so the Kalmar Counts are probably a group from New England.  The opening bid price in this auction is half of the actual final selling price in the one previous eBay auction of this 45 shown in that Popsike listing.  Both sides of this record are very strong surf guitar instrumentals; 'Quicksand' has some strange sound effects added - Must be for mind control purposes, listen at your own risk!!!  Condition of record is a low VG+ with a fair amount of surface marks, none of which can be felt or will affect play.  Record plays through nicely with a little light surface noise.  Labels have some contact wear, no other real problems.  This rare and interesting 45 would be a choice addition to any 1960s surf 45 record collection! Winning bidder pays $3.50 first class mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - Uninsured first class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe EXCEPT FOR GERMANY is $7.50 - PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS CONTINUING FAILURE TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES, I AM FORCED TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL $11.50 TO COVER REGISTERED POSTAGE WITH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE DELIVERY TO ALL SHIPMENTS GOING TO GERMANY.  I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS, BUT I CANNOT CONTINUE TO LOSE MONEY AND HAVE MY EBAY REPUTATION DAMAGED BY THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS' INABILITY TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES.   Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE!
