Description
You are bidding on a 4-LP MUZA POLSKTE NAGRANIA Box of KAROL SZYMANOWSKI'S music + 7" Bonus 45rpm of Karol speaking and playing piano. The 7" record is glued in it's jacket to inside of booklet. The first speech of Karol was made in Prague on the occasion of the first performance of King Roger, October 21, 1923; also a fragment of an interview with the stage manager of the Narodne Divadlo," Munclinger on the occasion of the first performance of the "Harnasie" ballet on May 10, 1935 (Polskte Nagrania MUZA N0181). On this 7" record Karol performs Mazurka Op 50 #13 and Op 62 No 1). The Box includes a 39p booklet in Polish/English with photos. The BOX is LIKE NEW as recordings were never played, but for my testing of LP's. The LP's are heavy in weight; the LP sleeves are of heavy paper weight. MUSIC: Oratorium: Stabat Mater, Op 53, cond. Witold Rowicki (1914-1989); Ballet-Harnasie, Op 55 cond. Wislocki (1921-); Symphony No 2 B-flat Major, Op 19 cond. G. Fitalberg; Songs: Presni: 5 Songs(Op 31); Violin Concerto No 1, Op 35 Wanda Wilkomirska (1929- violin, cond. Rowicki; Symphony No 4, Op 60 cond. Rowicki; String Quartet No 2, Op 56 with Borodin Quartet (XL0126); Mazurkas, Op 50 Nos 1,3,5,6,9,10,11,13,14,18 Barbara Hesse-Bukowska (1930- )piano. The BOX is Like New with faint rubbing to the back. The 39pp booklet is Like New. It has been in the box for some time and it's cover has faint rubbing from inside back of box cover. The BOX has been in my personal collection for many years. There is no copyright date on booklet or any numerical labeling on LP's. (It is noted that the same Stabat Mater performance appears in the Schwann 1966 Artist issue on a Bruno recording. Seller will ship Priority insured, delivery confirmation for this RARE set.
