Description

"Downbeat" Radio Show Transcription Disc Produced By The Armed Forces Radio Service.  Two Complete 15 Minute Programs On This 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm Disc.   This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare!

"Downbeat" radio program #220 with guest Kay Kyser.  Program includes excellent interview and commentary by Kay Kyser.  This is a program of recorded music. The first song is "Doctor Lawer Indian Chief" by Hoagy Carmichael.  The last 3 songs are by Kay Kyser & His Orchestra "Who's Sorry Now" vocal The Campus Kids, "Symphony / It Might As Well Be Spring", "Come To Baby Doo" vocal Lucy Ann Polk.  15 minutes

"Downbeat" radio program #221 with guest Paul Weston.  Program includes an excellent interview and commentary by Paul Weston.  This is a program of recorded music by Paul Weston & His Orchestra.  Songs include "Lulu's Back In Town" vocal Johnny Mercer, "This Love I Long For" vocal Jo Stafford, "Straighten Up And Fly Right" vocal The Pied Pipers, "You've Got Me Where You Want Me" vocal Johnny Mercer & The Pipers.  15 minutes
