Description
16 Inch Transcription Disc. Approximately 30 minutes on this 16 inch, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 33 1/3 rpm disc.
Side one contains 6 songs by Kay Starr. These appear to be from The Chesterfield Supper Club radio broadcasts from 1949, as Kay Starr was a frequent guest on the show during this period, and she is accompanied by Bill Lawerence on a few of the songs, and he was a male vocalist on the program in 1949. All songs feature vocal by Kay Starr. Dates are June 16, 21 and 23, presumably from the year 1949
1. “You Broke Your Promise” vocal Kay Starr with intro by Bill Lawrence. Song is complete with applause after the song. June 16
2. “Would You Like To Take A Walk” duet Kay Starr & Bill Lawrence. Recording begins with the song in progress, there is applause after the song. June 16

This side has excellent sound, sounds like a direct line check from the network
Side two features recordings of two Duke Ellington V-Discs: “Perfume Suite” and “Frantic Fantasy”. The sound on this side is very good or better, sounds like dubs made from V-Disc records
Disc is in excellent condition with sound as described as above
An extremely rare, one of a kind disc
