Description

BRAHMS / RUDOLF KEMPE / ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA - " Symphony No.4 in E Minor ", His Master's Voice, 1962.

Very rare 1962, first UK pressing of the very rare HMV LP with the original gold and cream label - see photo.

English issue and pressing.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been kept and will be included with this item).

CONDITION:

VINYL =  V.G.  (No heavy scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, just the very lightest of spindle trails, etc. Under a bright grading lamp,  there are a few surface scuffs on side B particularly. Although it plays better than it looks, this LP does still suffer from some correlating surface noise and the odd occasional click and crackle as it plays.
To my mind, these imperfections certainly devalue the record but by no means completely ruin it. This is of course a very collectable and expensive record and if you can put up with these minor defects, it could be a real bargain for someone who really values having a 1962 vinyl original over a lifeless, sterile remastered CD.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = V.G. (No big rips, tears or creases, defacing, etc. That said, the edges and corners of this sleeve are a bit worn, the back is also dirty and  the top right corner of the flip-back suffers a cuta bout 60mm in length - see photos for further clarification)

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.

ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!
