Description

KEMPE: Berlin Philharmonic.
Beethoven Symphony No.3 (Eroica.)

1960 HMV stereo (ASD 426) White/Gold first label. The playing surface is quite unmarked and retains its sheen. It plays beautifully save for a light tic which lasts for six revolutions about one minute into the first movement. The sleeve has had a harder life. The top and bottom edges have suffered splits and have been carefully repaired with glazier's clear tape. The spine is clear and legible with light knocks to the corners. There is a small damp stain on the back which bears a strong resemblance to the coastline of Cornwall.
