Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "Word Jazz" - by Ken Nordine Featuring the Fred Katz Group on the DOT Record label (DLP 3075) in beautiful original MONO sound, issued in 1957.
CONDITION: JACKET - Near Mint(This jacket is in "spectacular" condition, still wrapped in its original shrink wrap, with a light bump to the bottom right corner and a tiny original price sticker top right back - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - Near Mint(Vinyl is glowing and pristine - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Extremely rare original 1957 Mono pressing of Ken Nordine's legendary "Word Jazz" album; this record features some of Nordine's most unique offerings, including "The Vidiot", plus nice liner notes by both Nordine and Katz and superb deep-groove DOT mono vinyl; if you don't know Ken Nordine, you will love him by the end of this album; if you know him and don't own this record, don't wait a second to grab it; if you enjoy entertainment that comes from the very heart of all that's good about the amazing '50s, then please don't miss this one - a great pressing at a great price.
TRACKS:  A1 What Time Is It? 3:48 A2 My Baby 2:36 A3 Sound Museum 7:09 A4 The Vidiot 5:30 B1 Roger 5:05 B2 Hunger Is From 3:47 B3 Looks Like It's Going To Rain 3:27 B4 Flibberty Jib 4:42

Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck.
OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
