Description
About This Item: Beautiful VG++/near mint Blue Note 1597 Mono LP of "Blue Lights" on the Blue Note Records, 47 West 63rd New York label. This original first pressing includes the RVG(Rudy Van Gelder) seal of approval etched in the deadwax along with the much desired "ear" symbol. The vinyl is really nice with 1 superficial blemish(scuff), otherwise there are no needle marks or scratches of any kind to be found anywhere. The labels too are spotless. The Andy Warhol designed laminated front cover is near mint with a dinged lower left corner as well as a slightly dinged upper left corner, there's no ring wear, no writing holes, nothing else. The back cover has one gratuitous flaw with the signature in blue ballpoint pen of one Robert Quine, the lower east side guitarist extraordinaire who at the time of the original purchase(he's the one original owner) he was unknown, though that would all change by 1977 when he would begin working with people like Richard Hell, Brian Eno, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Marianne Faithful, et.al. . Otherwise the back cover too is spotless. If you're going after this for the Warhol design, well, you couldn't ask for a cleaner cover than this one. Either way you win.
