KENNY BURRELL “Introducing Kenny Burrell” Blue Note 1523, “P”,  “RVG”, DG, Mono Vinyl.

This is the 1956, DG, mono, “RVG” etched, “P” pressing of KENNY BURRELL’s “Introducing Kenny Burrell” on the Lexington Ave NYC labels of Blue Note BLP 1557. Musicians include Kenny Burrell, Tommy Flanagan, Paul Chambers, Kenny Clarke, Candido.

VINYL plays with consistent medium loud surface noise, aka crackles, with pops and ticks. Instruments are clear, powerful and clean, no skips, groovewear or distortion. Beaded rim. Music is clear, forceful and dynamic. Many hairline marks, handful of small feelable marks, and one two-inch scratch. Good gloss, both sides.  The Deep Grooved, Lexington Ave NYC labels (No “R” under “Note”) are clean with spindle marks evident under direct light. See photos.

Front COVER is in nice condition; no spine split.  See photos. Seams clean with a 1” lower seam split at opening. Corners worn. See photos.  The “43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows some staining at edges, otherwise clean. Lower jacket water damage evident. See photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Music Hall MMF-7.3 turntable/Ortofon Bronze cartridge, Heed Audio Elixir integrated amplifier, Heed Quasar Phono stage and Quad S2 speakers.
