This one is for true collectors of vintage U.S. psychedelia !

Former CAVEMEN members Pauli Walterson and Bob Jabour have produced the Key West Psychedelic Daze Volume 1 (1965-1975) compilation, which reveals the identities behind this band and two other Key West, Florida outfits - PALOMA (who also featured Pauli Walterson and Tony Rey - one track from 1972) and OVERSEAS HIGHWAY (nine tracks from 1970 to 1978 featuring comp co-producer Jim Dean). No new nuggets by The Cavemen however - just their moment of immortality, “It's Trash”. With its superb iron-lunged vocals, savage guitar-led instrumentation and fine use of echo it typifies all that's best about mid-sixties psychedelic punk.

The Key West compilation dangles a carrot by stating that The Cavemen did record an LP which only made it to the test pressing stage (ten copies, it sez, on the Chelle label).

Jabour had earlier played in a band with Vince (Vinnie) Martell who went on to the Pigeons before hitting the jackpot with Vanilla Fudge. Rey went on to play with Eric Andersen and latterly a band called Guarapo. Roche was later in a Led Zeppelin cover band.

Additional info is provided by the liners on the excellent Teenage Shutdown series, which reveals that the band included two former Coachmen (Jabour and Rey?) and would be known latterly as the 4th Generation until they split.

To Australia, for instance, the shipping of #1 CD without the plastic box costs € 6.50 instead of € 10.50 and it makes some difference...

So, before feeling discouraged by the mailing charges enlisted above, just contact me in advance and I will tell you what’s the actual cost to your Country for mailing without the plastic cases the number of units you would buy. It will be my care to give a prompt reply.

Applicable to whatever destination:

Double/Treeble… CD/LP sets count as 2 CDs, 2 LPs... and so on…

The cost of combined shippings of CDs and vinyls together will be calculated to the cheapest possible option depending on the total weight and basically reflectig the rates of above.

Where appropriate, records in inner sleeves are removed from outer sleeves to prevent the possibility of cover seams splitting/sleeve ringwear.
