Early scarce original children’s 78 RPM record album with sleeves for six single sided 6 inch record discs.

This cute embossed album named “KIDDIE RECORD ALBUM” was published by KIDDIE RECORD COMPANY, Plainfield, New Jersey.

I found limited information about this record company except that they did produce a second album, this is album NUMBER ONE, which is in the same format but a different cover and songs inside.

This album contains five discs, missing one, and only two of the records match the selections named on the title page which are Little Po Peep and Tom, Tom The Piper’s Son.The remaining three selections, Ding Dong Bell-No. 201, Sing a Song of Sixpence-No. 202, and Old Mother Hubbard-No. 206 looks like they came from the second album.

Also, the last three records named above have similar labels which read, “KIDDIE RECORD” while the first two records named above have labels spelled KIDDIE REKORD”.

Three of the records have cracks. Tom, Tom the Piper’s Son (1/2 inch edge crack) Little Po Peep (2 half-circle cracks and Old Mother Hubbard (crack from edge to center).

All discs have wonderful color illustrations on the reverse side (see scans).

Album is in good condition with no missing pieces. Cover has light wear and corner bumps. Three of the inside sleeves have minor tape repairs.
