So why this much fuss over a band that only ever released one single? The answer simply is that for as short period they had class and they had true punk style in spades. Energetic with a strong visual presence including a foxy bass player which never hurts, they were never a band made to last and of course they didn't. But at least they left a nugget of pure punk which should be in everybody's record collection.

Before Kevin Rowland launched Dexys Midnight Runners he was the lead singer in this great punk band from the Midlands. Kevin caught the first of a series of wind of changes and hitched a ride on punk with his girlfriend Heather on backing vocals and the gorgeous Gem on bass.

One single Johnny Won't Get To Heaven / Naive. Classic Amphetamine Punk. Another great track 'At Night' on the Raw Deal compilation album. They were supposed to be making tapes for an album but they split before anything happened and a supposed deal with Bronze was scuppered by Mr Rowland.

Around mid 77 they lost Heather and Joe 45 and acquired a new drummer, Bob Peach, and guitarist Keith Rimell and became virtually a different band as Mr Rowland again sought to jump ship.

And lastly from his majesty Mr Rowland himself these words from Mojo October 2001. "There was no doubt in my mind that I was at least as passionate and angry and as from the street as any punk rock singer you could name. But it was wrong for me to try to be part of someone else's thing."

We offer combined shipping on all LPs / 12" Vinyls: our shipping rates are listed above. HOWEVER shipping packages that weigh more than 2kg is VERY expensive. Therefore we can only offer combined shipping up to a maximum of SEVEN (7) LPs / 12" vinyls. Any extra purchases will be invoiced, packaged and shipped separately.

Sorry but I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks of auctions (see below).

PAYMENT

I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.

However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
