KIM FOWLEY: The Day The Earth Stood Still - Music Network Studio Records SWEDEN (MNWP7) stereo
Swedish LP release (not sure if it’s an original pressing or a later one, or even if there was a later one -- anybody know?) from this Los Angeles-based rock svengali. Includes original printed inner sleeve. Here's a description gleaned from the 'net:Apparently recorded in Sweden in 1970, this is one of Fowley's rarest LPs, and along with "Outrageous" one of his best. A multi-talented genius, this album explores the effects of war, with acerbic observations evident on tracks like "I Was A Communist For The FBI", "Is America Dead?", "The Man Without A Country" and "The Day The Earth Stood Still". An anti-war masterpiece.
Some great songs in the grooves, like "Night of The Hunter," and "The Man Without A Country," which kind of sounds like later 70's IGGY POP (!). Nice copy of this rare LP.

CONDITION:
All records are visually graded first, then we'll spot check 'em on the turntable to make sure there isn't anything particularly problematic that isn't obvious from peering at the grooves. However, that doesn't mean there might be something we didn't catch -- see return policy below, and know that if something's wrong we'll endeavor to make it right. VINYL CONDITION: VG++: a few light surface scuffs with minimal to no effect on play, and nice sheen.COVER CONDITION: VG+: corner dings and light edge wear, no scuffing, a couple corner creases, small seam split at top center.

We pack every LP in a plastic outer sleeve with record outside the cover, in a brand new cardboard LP mailer and at least one additional piece of cardboard and bubble wrap inside for protection.

Purchasers outside the USA may also request to have your package sent by Registered Mail for an additional $12.00 to cover registration fees and additional packing required to send a package this way.
PAYMENT:
