Description

Finnish heavy metal LP KIMMO KUUSNIEMI BAND Moottorilinnut (JP-Musiikki Oy PLAYLP 8008, 1982).

 

This project masterminded by Kimmo Kuusniemi of Sarcofagus fame is far more groundbreaking than it seems at first glance. Musically the album is less experimental than the Sarcofagus recordings but it is the first ever metal album that is sung in Finnish. It's also the first Finnish metal album featuring female vocals - Muska Babitzin sings on three tracks. The other vocalists are Muska's brother Kirka and Jukka Ritari.
