KING ALEX & THE TURNPIKES -- Cryin' Eyes / Weightless -- hard to find, original mid-to-late 1960s (?) U.S. 45 single. Excellent double-sided Blues / Mod R&B 45 here from this much-loved Kansas City-based Blues artist who also recorded as King Alex & The Untouchables ("Warm Up") and with The Kansas City Turnpikes. A-side "Cryin' Eyes" is killer Blues Vocal number with fantastic organ and guitar; B-side equally good uptempo Blues / Mod R&B instrumental with more superb guitar work. One listen and you can tell these guys were serious pros. In generic sleeve. Record: VG-, light to moderate surface wear, well used but plays well, on Central label, U.S. press.
