KING CREOSOTE - Loose Tea On His Wynd LP (FNC28). Unplayed copy.
1 of only 24 copies of THIS PARTICULAR hand-assembled cover design for Monorail Music in Glasgow (not numbered). Multi-media collage sleeve with masking tape and printed matter. No insert with any of the copies of this particular edition.
Bought direct from King Cresote on 2.9.16.
Statement from the seller, Monorail Music:
"King Creosote aka Kenny Anderson has always been a great supporter of Monorail. We hold him in very high regard so it's meant a lot to us. When we opened the shop back in 2002 his label, Fence Records compiled a cd for us called Monorail Fence Monorail. Kenny had run his own record shop in St Andrews and he just wanted to help.
In 2016 Kenny started to feed us micro editions of different sleeve artwork he had made for his album, Loose Tea on his Wynd. The album was recorded in 2004 from what we think were the same sessions as Rocket D.I.Y. Kenny had been self releasing this from 2014. In total we got 7 versions of sleeve artwork in editions as small as 4, the largest being 24.
We’ve always tried to keep a archive over the years of every exclusive release / edition / extra that the shop has been involved with. We were dreaming of doing an exhibition one day to show off this amazing collection of works which we're so proud of, even if only by association.
The current situation has meant we've had to change a lot of our thinking to look after the staff and the future of the shop. The rainy day has arrived ahead of our grandiose plans and we've decided, with Kenny's consent, to make them available for auction.
So, here we are, these are one-offs, each unique, each with it's own rough hued charm. The records are unplayed."
