Description
On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by King Crimson called 'In The Court Of The Crimson King' and is a VERY rare 1969 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Pink 'i' Island label!!!! THIS LP IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND AND MASSIVELY RARE AS A 1ST PRESSING!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER - AND IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!! I WILL EXPLAIN WHY!!!! FIRSTLY THE MATRIXES END IN A//2 B//2 - AND THESE ARE THE EARLIEST MATRIXES I HAVE EVER SEEN FOR THIS LP!!!! SECONDLY THE LABELS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RECORD ARE 'TEXTURED' (LATER ONES ARE NOT)!!!! AND LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE VINYL IS MUCH MUCH THICKER THAN ALL LATER PRESSINGS (AND IN MY OPINION PLAYS FAR FAR BETTER TOO)!!!! MOST PINK 'I' ISLAND STANDARD 1ST PRESSINGS ARE ON VERY THIN VINYL - BUT THIS 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING WITH 'TEXTURED' LABELS IS AT LEAST DOUBLE THE THICKNESS OF MOST STANDARD 1ST PRESSINGS AND PLAYS SUPERBLY!!!! IN FACT - THIS IS EASILY THE BEST PLAYING 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!! IT IS ALWAYS A REAL CHALLENGE TO FIND A 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP THAT PLAYS SUPERBLY - BUT THIS ONE REALLY DOES!!!! THE QUIET PASSAGES PLAY ABSOLUTELY QUIETLY (AS THEY SHOULD!) WITH NO SURFACE NOISE AT ALL - AND THE LOUD PASSAGES PLAY WITH CRYSTAL CLEAR SOUND WITH ABSOLUTELY NO DISTORTION AT ALL!!!! THIS IS THE 1969 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' PINK 'i' ISLAND LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'E.J.DAY' GATEFOLD COVER!!!! THIS LP IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND AND SERIOUSLY RARE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL UK 1st pressing from 1969 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on thick quality vinyl. The Cat. No is ILPS 9111 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Textured' Island label (see picture) and is a 1969 Stereo 1st pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!
The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in SUPERB condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply AWESOME with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must grade FULL Excellent if not better!!!! STUNNING RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Gatefold Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has barely ANY edge wear (NOT through the colour), NO spinal wear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), barely ANY creases AT ALL (Cover is AMAZINGLY flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in AWESOME condition with NO grubbyness, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO yellowing and only an absolutely TINY name in the top left corner on the inside (very VERY unnoticeable)!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND AS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER AND PLAYS SUPERBLY - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP!!!!
