KING CRIMSON

IN THE COURT OF KING CRIMSON

AN OBSERVATION BY KING CRIMSON

ISLAND RECORDS ILPS - 9111

ORIGINAL U.K. PINK LABEL 1ST PRESSING

GATEFOLD STEREO ISSUE!

A great opportunity to bid for this achingly desireable and collectable Prog album, the debut from King Crimson in it's original, pink label form!

I bought this copy secondhand in the '90s from the late, lamented Beanos in Croydon (South London, UK) and it's been safely stored ever since!

Sleeve: Gatefold card sleeve with those iconic images from the mind of Barry Godber, printed and made by E J Day, London! The sleeve and

record have been kept in the heavy plastic outer sleeve which they were in when I purchased it, so have not acquired any additional marks or wear.

Condition-wise there is light surface wear along the two bottom edges, with only the last few millimetres of each edge (from the open-edge corners)

exposing the card/board beneath! The top two edges show even less light wear, as does the spine, with the card/board being exposed only at the

extremities of the spine corners and the open-edge corners! The sleeve faces show minimal signs of wear and marking, with two small, light

creases (each approx 25mm) on the back cover being the most noteworthy! Other marks can generally only be seen by angling the sleeve to the light.

Inner Sleeve: Slightly shaped, poly-lined and die-cut paper, which is intact and unmarked, but there is a narrow 'ripple' to the poly surface in one of

the die-cut windows, consistent with it having been scratched at some time.

Vinyl: Clean and bright, with a few light surface marks, as may be expected on vinyl which is 44 years old!

There are two main surface marks on Side One (both narrow and very light!), to be mentioned for accuracy: one which goes

through Track 1, and the other which passes through the majority of Side One. Please note, however, that they, and any other

surface marks, do not impact on playback! The album plays superbly well, with no major audio issues at normal volume!

Labels: Both labels are intact with no damage and just a few, very faint spindle marks! There is a small amount of vinyl swarf round the

hole on Side Two.

This is just one item from my own extensive and eclectic personal collection of music and related bits and pieces which I will be listing over the next few months, or so.

I have been collecting for more than 30 years, so check back regularly to see what other gems I may have unearthed - they won't be listed in any particular order! My

recent absence from eBay has been because of work commitments but, as they seem to have dried up, I will be spending more time disposing of my collection!

I am not a dealer, so won't use traditional grading terms but, instead, will describe each item as carefully and honestly as I can with text and photos. Bidders are then free

to form their own opinions. Any apparent marks showing in the photos are reflections or dust, etc., unless otherwise specifically identified. If in doubt, please contact me

with any queries before bidding and I will get back to you promptly with an answer. I will also keep you informed throughout the whole ebay process.

All vinyl will be packaged in sturdy cardboard mailers with at least one stiffener and will be despatched within 2 working days of payment being received. PayPal is preferred,

but please contact me before bidding to discuss alternative, acceptable methods. Postage rates: UK - 2nd Class £2.60, Europe/R.O.T.W - AirMail Small Packet £6.50/£11.40.

Please note that I do not combine postage. All items are packaged and sent individually, so as to minimise damage and/or loss.

Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
