THE KINGS of progressive rock. There's no arguing that Robert Fripp and his band of merry progsters re-wrote the rule book when it came to crafting music of an altogether higher level of sophistication and inventiveness. Sure, they arrived on the scene with this, one of the most outstanding debut albums of all time, yet they managed to continue their musical assault well into the seventies with a string of steller releases, each one driving their message deeper into the buying publics psyche.

'In The Court...' was the bands debut album and showcases a group pushing the boundaries of contemporary progressive rock. The music here is intense yet somewhat free flowing - as wild a take on free jazz by a mildly out of control prog band as you could imagine. Long tracks, mad disonant chords, crazy time signatures, quirky twists and turns, mad saxophone and blistering lead guitar solos - all in all, just what you might expect from the worlds most accomplished and forward thinking turn of the seventies rock band. Of course, it contains their greatest ever track '21st Century Schizoid Man'.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Clean and shiny condition. No spindle marks and no other signs of use. Beautiful condition. Grades as MINT-!

Cover: Light signs of use and handling. Housed in a superbly designed gatefold sleeve. Sharp corners (rubbed), no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is straight and uncrushed. Top left of cover (front and rear) displays small pin hole marks - it's difficult to say why this happened but it is a small inperfection that needs to be noted.
