This is the UK 1st press of 'In The Wake of Poseidon' by King Crimson. This rare press is complete with the earliest pink i Island label and the earliest A-1/B-1 matrix. The record is complete with the original heavy flat edge vinyl and heavily textured gatefold EJ Day sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl looks superb. It is exceptionally glossy and bright, every tracks gleams. There are just a couple of very light marks. When played the sound is wonderful - warm, rich and extremely clear. There are just a few moments of occassional very light crackle, but superb definition and no significant noise to spoil the enjoyment of this album at any point. The pink i Island label is completely clean with sharp text and bright, crisp white and pink. There is no spindle wear, just a couple of spider marks.
The heavily textured gatefold EJ Day sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The picture is still exceptionally sharp and the colours are vivid. The edges are extremely solid, there is just a little damp wobble on the back edge and slight corner and opening edge wear. The inside is a superb original bright blue with sharp silver text. The whole sleeve still feels solid.
