On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by King Crimson called 'Islands' and is a VERY rare 1971 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Island label!!!!  THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND AND SERIOUSLY RARE!!!!  IN FACT THIS IS ONE OF KING CRIMSONS RAREST LPs EVER!!!!  IT SOLD TERRIBLY ON RELEASE AND TODAY IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS A 100% GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING - WITH A FLIPBACK OUTER COVER (LATER ONES DONT), AND ULTRA RARE GATEFOLD INNER/INSERT!!!!  ONLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS CAME LIKE THIS - BEFORE THE PACKAGING WAS CHANGED.  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP SO VERY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION!!!!  IN PARTICULAR THE RECORD IS IN AMAZING CONDITION (2 OR 3 PLAYS AT THE VERY MOST!) AND THE GATEFOLD INNER/INSERT IS IN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!  IT WAS SO FRAGILE THAT MOST WERE EVEN SPLIT ON DELIVERY TO THE RECORD SHOP - AND ON MANY 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP THE INSERT IS OFTEN COMPLETELY SPLIT FROM THE INNER SLEEVE - OFTEN LEADING PEOPLE TO BELIEVE THIS LP ACTUALLY HAD A SEPARATE INSERT!!!!  IN ACTUAL FACT ON ALL 100% GENIUNE 1ST PRESSINGS (LIKE THIS ONE!) THE INSERT WAS JOINED TO THE INNER SLEEVE (LATER CHANGED) AND IT IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IN THIS CONDITION!!!!  AND WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THIS IS THE HARDEST KING CRIMSON LP TO FIND IN TOP CONDITION - AND THIS ONE IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS ISLAND LABEL, 1ST PRESS A-1U/B-1U MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD INSERT/INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS FLIPBACK OUTER COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THIS SUPERB CONDITION - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Island UK 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is ILPS 9175 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Island label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st pressing!!!!

The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in AWESOME condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, only 1 absolutely ULTRA light TINY scuffline, and only a VERY few of the VERY lightest paper scuffs only visible under EXTREME light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AWESOME!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear, and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade Excellent++++ if not better!!!! AWESOME RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Gatefold Inner/Insert sleeve which is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition and one of the best I have EVER seen!!!!  The Gatefold inner is a SUPERB clean white colour with NO grubbyness AT ALL (MEGA RARE on this inner), NO yellowing, NO rubbing, NO ringwear, NO writing, and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Importantly there is NO active splits AT ALL (and the inner holds the record PERFECTLY!) - though there is some evidence of a TINY repair (NO tape!) towards the right of the record pouch - though this is 100% strong and is virtually INVISIBLE (you really have to search for it!)!!!!  The spine of the inner itself is VERY solid indeed (PERFECT side words) and without ANY doubt this has to be one of the BEST conditioned inner/insert you will EVER see (most are complete write offs!)!!!!  WHAT A BRILLIANT INNER/INSERT!!!!  The 1st Press Flipback Outer Cover is in SUPERB condition!!!! The cover has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO ringwear AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Excellent(Minus) if not better and is INCREDIBLY hard to find like this!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
