Description
THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE LP ENTITLED LARKS TONGUES IN ASPIC RELEASED BY KING CRIMSON IN THE UK IN 1973 ON ISLAND RECORDS CATALOGUE NUMBER ILPS 9230. THIS COPY IS A FIRST PRESS WITH A2 AND B2 MATRIX NUMBERS AND "SARK" WRITTEN IN THE RUN OUT GROOVE OF SIDE 1.
THE VINYL IS IN EXCELLENT++ CONDITION WITH SOME VERY FAINT LIGHT MARKS CAUSED WHEN TAKING THE LP OUT OF THE SLEEVE VISIBLE UNDER A STRONG LIGHT. I HAVE LISTENED TO THE LP AT HIGH VOLUME AND IT SOUNDS SUPERB. IT SITS NICE AND FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE AND PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT ANY JUMPS OR SKIPS. THERE IS THE OCCASIONAL BIT OF VERY LIGHT BACKGROUND NOISE AND A VERY OCCASIONAL LIGHT CLICK BUT OVERALL THE AUDIO IS EXCELLENT AND A PLEASURE TO LISTEN TOO.
THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
THE SLEEVE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH THE PINCHED SPINE LOOKING GREAT. THERE IS SOME LIGHT STORAGE WEAR TO THE CORNERS AND EGDGES AND SOME LIGHT RINGWEAR AND COLOUR FADING BUT IT STILL LOOKS VERY GOOD.
OVERALL A REALLY GREAT COPY OF AN LP THAT IS GETTING HARDER TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION.

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded delivery at a cost of £2.50. The cost of postage in Europe is £9.00 and will include international signed for as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.
Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
