Description
This is a rare opportunity for you to get hold of a truly beautiful record.
This is a recording of King George V speech at the opening of the Tyne Bridge on 10th October 1928.
The record has an etching of the bridge in the centre and this can be seen in the photo, along with the date and crests.
The record was released by Columbia Graphophone Co. Ltd and has the following numbers on the label (ST 959-1) 9414. The reverse of the record does not have etching to the centre and has the following numbers (ST 959-4) 9414.
The record plays well but is in need of a good clean. No visible scratches or scuffs, in excellent condition. It does not have it's original paper sleeve.
I have 3 other King George V recordings (HM speech at the opening of the Five Power Naval Conference Jan 21st 1930, A message to the empire 1935, Silver Jubilee message to the empire 1935) that I will be listing over the next few days and will be happy to combine postage on multiple purchases.
Any questions please email.
Payment to be made within 3 days of close of auction. International bidders please contact BEFORE bidding for postage rates.
