BLUE MAGNOLIA / RED PINK ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by ORCHESTRA KING ZERAND with FRANCO AMBROSETTI on trumpet. Original Italian pressing on the BANG BANG label (BG043), from circa mid '70s. Killer funky library double-sider by the cult arranger. Both BLUE MAGNOLIA and RED PINK are superb examples of the genre. Lots of sexy vocal chorus / sleazy jazz funk and disco orchestrations. The scat harmony throughout BLUE MAGNOLIA is very French soundtrack in feel with big basslines / funky hi-hats / clipped wah wah guitar hooks / disco strings and spacey synthesizers. Great for DJs. Desirable item with certain Japanese collectors too. Lots more sexy voices over a jazzy and spacey lounge funk theme on RED PINK. This is the side that features Franco Ambrosetti on trumpet. Lovely horn solos by the legendary Italian jazzman. Mood music for an unknown Italian soundtrack / radio or television programme. Beautiful picture sleeve artwork. Rare Library 45!!! Vinyl is in strong VG++ condition with some hairlines. Some light surface noises. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with very light wear. Old sticker residue mark and a touch of rubbing to middle of front sleeve. A few small wear marks to some corners and edges. Rare Library 45!!!
