Culled from the remnants of the never-released album named "Four more Kinks" (scheduled for release, but never actually released, in 1969), and other soures, such as B-sides, rarities and oddities, this is a true kink in the Kinks' discography: an album which defies definition and classification, a piece of work which does not fit any of the band's stages and phases. In the great tradition of the Kynx, this is a klassik kollektion of Kinky trakz - a great, amusing, work and one of the RAREST pieces in Kinks' Reprise discography. Even stock promos are hard to come by; Promos are just about unheard of. Needless to say, this wonderful collection never saw the light of day on compact disc. Who knows why?

The WHITE LABEL PROMO, RADIO STATION-, AUDITION OR DEMONSTRATION COPIES AND RELEASES (such as the one we have here) were routinely distributed among the radio stations before the LP was released to the public, sometimes as much as 4 months ahead. These records are generally considered to be the "first among equals", which is to say the VERY FIRST generation and the VERY FIRST pressings of the particular title.

(a)            WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG NEAR MINT. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)            The album comes with the original insert/lyrics sheet still intact.

(c)             The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.

(d)            Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

(e)             White Promo Label version of this title is much rarer that a regular, commercially released, version of this title. We estimate that stock copies of this album outnumber promo copies by a ratio of at least 20:1.
