Description

Rare 1965 (or late 1964?) LP record by The KINKS entitled "You Really Got Me" White Label Promo version. Record on Reprise R-6143. Rare early Rock & Roll classic that was first US LP by this classic group. Back of record with mini bios on the group featuring: Ray Davies, Dave Davies, Peter Quaif and Michael Avery. Record lists 11 songs including : (Side 1)- Beautiful Delilah, So Mystifying, Just Can't Go to Sleep, Long Tall Shorty, You Really Got Me, (Side 2)- Cadillac, Bald Headed Woman, Too Much Monkey Business, I've Been Driving on Bald Mountain, Stop Your Sobbing, Got Love if You Want It.  Purchased approx. 10 years ago from a garage sale. Previous owner worked for a radio station in the Chicago Land Area and had many early white lable rock and roll classics.

Record condition is excellent to Near mint. Record with lots of original sheen. Some mild surface wear from dust jacket and careful playing (radio station). LP beautiful condition usable record. Cover remarkably without splits on edges. All four corners with wear and show creasing from storage (see close up). Ding in spine (see close up) about 1/3 of the way up that goes into the front picture. Light wear to surface and "lip" edge (see pictures). Not mint, but overall presentation is great for this tough to find promo record. Goldmine (4th edition) listed as $400.00 for Open/ NR Mint condition.
