Original 1st US pressing Casablanca Records promotional issue of KISS’ “Alive II” recorded live at L.A. Forum in 1977. The album features the concert versions of the songs from three albums: “Destroyer”, “Rock And Roll Over” and “Love Gun”. The promotional gatefold cover remains in the original factory shrink wrap and still contains the original hype sticker on the front still affixed to it. The back cover contains the original gold embossed “LOANED FOR PROMOTION ONLY Not For Sale Ownership And All Rights Reserved” stamp at the top left corner. This special promotional copy contains a complete set of original memorabilia featuring:

-   Promotional issue only “Special Offer Donna Summer ‘The First Lady of Love” insert with the merchandise on the front and a signed letter from Casablanca’s president Neil Bogart and a questionnaire on the back.
 

-   Promotional issue only “Special Offer” mailing envelope with the Casablanca, Los Angeles, California address

-   8-page “The Evolution of KISS” color booklet with the photos of the band members and KISS’ biography on the back

- A sheet with original KISS tattoos

-   “KISS ARMY Wants You” tri-fold insert with the description, merchandise and a “KISS Special Merchandise” envelope

-   2 custom KISS ALIVE II inner sleeves with the adverts for other KISS albums on one side and a photo from a KISS concert on the other

Special print Casablanca Record and FilmWorks, Inc. labels with the “Promotion Copy Not For Sale” banner on each side. 1st pressing vinyl mastered by Sterling Sound Studios, New York as identified by the machine stamped “Sterling” in the runout groove of each side and pressed at the Columbia Records, Pitman, NJ plant. The full matrix numbers are as follows:

It's incredibly hard to find a cover of this album in such a stunning Near Mint Minus condition, not to mention the fact that this copy is the promotional issue. Just like the cover, the original inner sleeves and all of the memorabilia are in Near Mint Minus condition. All of the four sides of the glossy vinyl are graded Near Mint Minus having just several very light non-feelable surface marks and scuffs from the original paper inner sleeves. The labels are in beautiful Near Mint Minus condition, scuff- and wear-free only having a few very light spindle marks that can be seen only under a strong light source. The vinyl sounds outstanding only having some light occasional static which most likely could get reduced or go away if the record was professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.

Due to the high risks involved when it comes international shipping, we’ve recently stopped sending our items with USPS First-Class Mail International and now use only USPS Priority Mail International Express. However, if your order exceeds the amount of $5000, we’ll have to ship the package with FedEx as oppose to USPS.
