ABOUT MY LP RECORD COLLECTION

The vinyl albums I am selling are my personal record collection.  I have been collecting records for nearly 50 years.  My album collection covers from the mid 1960’s through the 1980’s. The records have always been stored in my house with a temperature controlled environment in protective boxes.  They were never stored in a basement, garage, storage shed, etc. or subjected to sunlight where their quality could be affected.  They were played by me only.  The albums I am selling were purchased at various times during the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

The qualities of the LP’s I sell are Excellent to Good based on my definitions below.

RECORD QUALITY

EXCELLENT -  The LP cover is rip free, no markings of any kind.  Only wear is the usual storage wear.  The cover is as close to being “new” as you can get without being new.  There can possibly be a hairline scratch or two causing the usual pops you hear traditionally with vinyl but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Vinyl is bright and shiny; label is clean and unmarked.

VERY GOOD -  The LP cover will have more noticeable wear.  There may be a small slit in the cover where the front and back separated.  No markings or writings on the cover.  The LP will have some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections but otherwise clean.

GOOD -  The LP cover has wear or markings/writings on it. Vinyl will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor surface noise, but do not overpower the music. There will be no skips. Vinyl may appear somewhat dull. Labels may have small tears, tape marks, larger writing, etc. but still easily legible.

These are my guidelines.  Any LP I consider to be in poor quality I will not sell.  Of course everyone’s idea of “Excellent”, “Very Good”, “Good” and “Poor” are different.  Communication is key.  If you are not happy with your purchase, let me know! I strive to make sure the records I sell are completely playable and do not skip.  Because of the volume of records, mistakes can happen. I will take back any record that you are not happy with within 14 days of purchase.

If you are looking for a particular record or artist, feel free to message me.
