Description

KISS Dressed To Kill LP 1977 UK Press PYE Casablanca Translucent Red Vinyl Excellent Condition.

For MP3 samples of the actual record listed, please click on this link: Click Here to go to YouTube Video

  • Conversion is from a budget deck so they are not audiophile quality and there is a bit of distortion not heard on the album itself - but they do allow you to hear the quality of the surfaces & playback to take the uncertainty out of buying :)
  • If you have trouble with the link from mobile devices, please click the option for 'desktop' when youtube opens - failing that drop me a message and I'll send you the link.

Notes:

• 1977 UK Press on Casablanca /PYE

• No Barcode CALD 2008

• Matrix/Runout CALD 2008 A/B10MB

Condition - Please read and remember this is an almost 40 year old vintage item :)  Pics and grading are honest so please look & read.

Vinyl Surfaces - Excellent

Audio Test - EX

  • Some very light background noise between tracks/on runouts.
  • Generally plays very, very well, no skips and no loss of sound quality

Visual:

• Graded VERY CRITICALLY under VERY bright spotlights.

• There are moderate visible VERY light normal cleaning /handling marks on both sides, basically from taking the record in and out of its sleeve and playing it.

• In bright daylight the vinyl looks mint. It really is in excellent condition for its age.

• Pics show the vinyl under very  bright spotlights

• This has been very well cared for and has nice sheen.

• No major deep scratches and no expected significant effect on sound quality, maybe some very light crackles in between some songs.

• Runout areas have a few light visible very light marks

Outer Sleeve - Excellent

• Excellent Sheen

• A few very small minor creases only , no major creasing

• Very small label mark on top right if looking carefully

• Spines are fantastic with hardly any wear or creasing. All writing perfectly preserved and legible.

Vinyl Labels - Excellent

• Minimal wear

• No mould marks.

• Colours and printed text all perfect

• Tiny amount of wear on spindle holes

Vinyl Care/Preparation

• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Arc Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This does sometimes leave residue marks, but these don't affect play.

• Once cleaned, I 'buff' the Vinyl using a very soft cleaning-cloth, then place it into an anti-static black sleeve. This sleeve is supplied with the Vinyl you buy.

I also carefully clean and dry the Vinyl outer sleeves to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust. Once done the sleeves are placed into a PVC sleeve to keep them nice and clean, they are shipped with the plastic sleeve.

Vinyls are then listened to end-to-end before grading, in order to make sure they don't skip etc. BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS...some Vinyls that look Near Mint to the eye have skips, others that look marked play near-perfectly. I've learned that you can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it :)

Finally, I take lots of pics and rip the Vinyl to 256kbps MP3 (budget deck only at the moment) and make a sample video, uploaded to YouTube to let you hear the quality of the vinyl surfaces and see HD large pictures of the item.

All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what they are getting before they spend hard-earned money! For this reason, I am not the cheapest on eBay and don't want to be. All offers are considered but please don't expect me to give them away :)

Shipping & Payment

• Well packaged in stiff, thick card mailer + Stiffeners for protection.

• Vinyl removed from inner and securely packed during shipping to prevent splits

• I combine shipping cost for multiple purchases - please contact me to let me know before paying - happy to work out a personal shipping estimate and quite for multiples :)

• Please note: eBay and PayPal combined charge me about 20% fees on shipping, so unfortunately I have to pass this on. The shipping amount on the label will be a bit lower than the amount you pay...I don't make money on shipping.
