Welcome to Hail The Grail Records, where the hunt ends. We specialize in exceptional collector-grade vinyl, rare promotional issues, elusive first pressings, and the kind of records that advanced collectors spend years trying to locate. Every item is carefully evaluated, accurately represented, and offered with the respect these historical artifacts deserve. Please browse with confidence, make reasonable offers when appropriate, and enjoy the chase. Hail The Grail… where the hunt ends.

This is an exceptional original 1974 KISS debut LP on Casablanca Records (NB-9001) representing one of the most desirable promotional distribution variants issued during the Warner Bros. distribution era.

Unlike the familiar White Label Promos, this example is the documented Blue Label Warner Promotional Stock Copy Variant, retaining the original factory shrink with the authentic pink “PROMOTIONAL COPY – NOT FOR SALE” Warner Bros. sticker still firmly attached.

For advanced KISS collectors, this is a completely different collectible than a standard stock NB-9001.

Collector Notes

This is not a White Label Promo.

This is the documented Blue Label Warner promotional stock-copy variant, distributed with the original Warner Bros. promotional sticker on the factory shrink.

These copies are seldom encountered today with:

   •   Original shrink intact

   •   Original Warner promotional sticker

   •   Early Bell Sound “Joe” mastering

   •   Early 1B/1B matrices

   •   Columbia Terre Haute pressing

During my research, I located one previously documented public sale of this specific blue-label Warner promotional sticker variant. That example realized $1,000 in December 2018.

Nearly a decade later, original surviving examples with the factory shrink, authentic Warner promotional sticker, and complete early pressing characteristics remain exceptionally difficult to locate.

Collectors understand that rarity is determined not only by surviving population but also by how infrequently documented examples become publicly available.
