This record was never supposed to escape the vinyl pressing factory back in 1980!
The story:
Maybe you havent even heard of this Ep but thats just because it was never released, i spoke to one of the band members Mats Wigerdal (Drums) witch today runs a Secondhand / Retro store in Stockholm called wigerdals world : wigerdal.com/ and he said that all the band members went to the record factory back in 1980 and they each took 2 sample records out of the 12 made. And then they made the regular 2 track singel instead that we all know as Happy Funeral / Fantastic. Since this record was never supposed to be released a cover was unfortunately never made for it.
This record got to be the rarest i have ever come across in my 25 years of record collecting.
This text is from their CD compilation booklet that reveals the recording of 4 tracks on their first session the recording studio : "A few shows later Kitchen were invited by producer Johan Vävare to recording sessions at Soundtrack Studios in Stockholm. Four tracks were recorded but only two were used- this became the Fantastic/Happy Funeral single released by the band themselves."
