[VIKING, VM 27, NORWAY]
HOLY GRAIL TIME! Here you have one of the absolute rarest norwegian jazz releases ever. This 45 from 1963 by Kjell Karlsen's orchestra features a great hard bop take on Jimmy Heath's "Big P" (which has been comped and is a Nicola Conte DJ spin). Great self penned flipside as well. Have a listen below! The line-up contains many of the top players of the early 60's Norwegian jazz scene: Frode Thingnes, Atle Hammer, Bjorn Johansen and Eric Andresen to mention a few. This 7" hardly ever turns up for sale!
Vinyl condition: VG+ (many very light hairlines, plays superb, listen!)
SOUNDCLIP:
