KRAFTWERK - " THE ROBOTS / SPACELAB ", Capitol Records. (CL 15981) 1978 UK DEMO Pressing.
This ithe very rare version of the UK 1978 Kraftwerk single - not only does it have the rare 3-part gatefold sleeve, but this particular copy is clearly branded "demo record, not for sale".
This record has been professionally cleaned on my MOTH record cleaning machine.
VINYL = EXCELLENT- (No big scratches, no distortion or groove damage. In normal day light it looks great, but under my bright grading lamp I can make out a couple of very faint surface marks. On playback the A-Side carries some very faint surface noise during the silent run-in but as soon as the music starts it vanishes and the song plays cleary, strongly and free from any interuptions - playback on this side is of an excellent standard. It is almost the same story with the B-Side except for that it starts with quiet section that does suffer from some light surface noise... once again, as soon and the song kicks in properly all sounds great. This minor defect and the just visible marks are why it has been given an EX- grading. Also, I must point out that this slight wear is just the result of this single being kept in it's original card fold-out sleeve and not over-use... in fact, this record has no spindle trails at all and has obviously hardly ever been played. Note: I have thoroughly tested this record in my Linn LP12 turntable (which is generally quite critical test) and stand by my grading and description, although I cannot guarantee exactly how it will sound on your turntable - sorry to be so uptight, but there are some very silly people out there.)
SLEEVE = EXCELLENT- (No rips, tears, stains, defacing, etc. There are some light creases on one corner but overall still a great "honest" secondhand record sleeve - see photos for further clarification)
NOTE: It's probably worth noting that we are an actually physical record shop trading for over twenty years, with literally decades of record grading and trading experience under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the self-proclaimed experts and have-a-go-heroes that currently clog up ebay, we know how to grade records! Please read my description carefully before you bid and you should be perfectly happy with your purchase - many of my gradings include a certain degree of "ebay caution".
