Description
Maroon label with silver text. Slightly raised ring (not deep groove). Original. 4 tracks with co-leaders, Winding and Johnson trombones. Also included on trombones are Benny Green and Willie Dennis; John Lewis, piano; Charles Mingus, bass; Art Taylor, drums. 4 tracks recorded in "live" at the Putnam Central Club, NYC in 1953.
Cover: VG Intact and clean with light aging on the front and back covers. Crease on 1 corner. 4 or 5 small tears on the edges of the notes on the back cover. These do not effect the text. Light edge wear.
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. No markings on the vinyl surface. On Side A,Track 1, a few clicks a the beginning of the Track for 3 or 4 revolutions. 1 click and faint groove noise on 3 or 4 isolated revolutions during Mingus' solo. 2 clicks on Benny Green's solo. On Track 2, faint groove noise on the last revolution. On Side B, Track 1, 3 clicks at the beginning of the Track, 1 faint click during John Lewis' solo and 1 click during Johnson's solo. No noise on Side A, Track 2. Only the small noise noted. Fine, collectable quality. Audibly checked.
