Description
Both labels have 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address; same address on the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove. The record has" RVG " inscribed in the dead wax on both sides. Side A has 4 tracks with Bennie Green, leader, trombone: 6 string section (artists are identified in the notes on the back cover); John Malachi, piano; Tommy Potter, bass; Osie Johnson, drums. Recorded in Chicago in 1953. 2 tracks on Side A and all 6 tracks on Side B includes Winding and Johnson, trombones; Dick Katz, piano; Peck Morrison, bass; Al Harewood, drums. Recorded in 1954. Soloists are identified in the notes.
Cover: Mint(-) Intact and clean. Minor, tiny tear on the upper insert edge corner. Minor aging on the back cover. Close to Mint in condition.
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. A very small number of short brush-like surface rub marks and 2 light surface rub marks. None of these marks affect the sound. Played only a few times. No surface noise. Fine, collectable condition. Audibly checked.
