Setting the stage:
I started to “build a record collection” of sorts about 20 years ago. I was motivated to buy vinyl because of a record player I received as a gift. What I quickly found out was that the vinyl records market is very dense and convoluted. Despite my love for music and all of its versatility, I didn’t have much direction. I simply bought what I liked to listen to, and I ended up with a “collection” of original records (i.e. first pressing) and reissues. Some purchases were of new records and some purchases were of used records, but for the last 20 years or so (subject to release date), all of the records I am offering have been in my possession. In total, I’ve accumulated just over 100 records for my “record collection”. Ultimately, these records have been collecting dust sitting on my shelves. I’ve opened and unwrapped some of the records and others are as is. Have I listened to them all? No way. I would estimate I’ve listened to about 25 of the records and some of them even a few times. Any of these records can become part of your collection now. I will be posting them in batches because compiling a discography, cataloging, and photographing all these records has been much more difficult than buying them and enjoying them. By now you can probably tell I’m not very technical with the record jargon. I’ve dedicated an immense amount of time to compiling the most accurate information to provide you about the records I am offering. I believe all of the records are in good condition at a minimum. I purchased them all from reputable record stores and not at garage sales or flea markets. That being said, I am happy to answer questions on the higher dollar items ($50+), I won’t take pictures and fulfill a bunch of random requests for the low dollar items, I just don’t have the bandwidth. In the end, I believe you will be very satisfied with your purchase. Please make sure and check out my other lots, there will certainly be something up your alley. I have priced all the items to reflect their current condition. If you disagree with my assessments please do not make the purchase. All sales items are final and I will not accept returns. Now onto the good stuff…
Kanye West :
Kanye West is one of the most influential and controversial artists in modern music. Bursting onto the scene in the early 2000s as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, Kanye flipped the hip-hop world on its head with his innovative beats and unapologetically honest lyrics. He’s credited with redefining the sound of mainstream hip-hop, blending soul samples, orchestral arrangements, and deeply personal storytelling.
The College Dropout :
Released in 2004, The College Dropout is Kanye West’s groundbreaking debut album. It was both a critical and commercial success, earning 10 Grammy nominations and winning Best Rap Album. With tracks like “Through the Wire,” “Jesus Walks,” “All Falls Down,” and “Slow Jamz,” Kanye delivered a deeply personal, socially conscious, and sonically rich project that challenged the bling-and-bravado formula dominating early 2000s rap. Critics hailed the album for its emotional complexity, gospel and soul-infused production, and its unfiltered honesty. It’s widely considered one of the greatest debut albums of all time, frequently appearing on “best of” lists from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and TIME. The College Dropout didn’t just mark the start of Kanye’s career, it altered the trajectory of hip-hop itself.

Late Registration (First Pressing):
Released in 2005, Late Registration is Kanye West’s stunning follow-up to his debut—and many fans and critics argue it’s his masterpiece. Working alongside legendary composer Jon Brion, Kanye expanded his sonic palette far beyond traditional hip-hop, incorporating lush string arrangements, cinematic beats, and baroque flourishes. From the explosive anthem “Touch the Sky” to the soulful “Gold Digger” and the deeply personal “Hey Mama,” the album is rich with emotion, satire, and innovation. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and won Best Rap Album at the 2006 Grammy Awards. It also landed on multiple “Best Albums of the Decade” lists, including those by Rolling Stone and Pitchfork. With guest appearances from Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, Brandy, Nas, and Adam Levine, Late Registration is a fully realized artistic statement—complex, catchy, and culturally defining. This record is a milestone in 21st-century music.
