Description
This is a very rare copy of the original 1993 'Red Shoes' by Kate Bush, EMD 1047. UK 1st edition – NOT a reissue.
Owned from new this record has only been played using a high quality playback system. As you can see, overall condition is excellent, some would say Mint. I doubt you'll find a better example of this original pressing. Like most 1st editions the sound quality is very good indeed.

- Matrix / Runout (Runout side A, stamped): EMD 1047 A-1-1-1 D
- Matrix / Runout (Runout side A, etched): FOR H
- Matrix / Runout (Runout side B, stamped): EMD 1047 B-1-1-1 D
According to the standard LP/vinyl 'goldmine scale' I would conservatively classify the condition of each element as follows:
Outer Sleeve overall = Near Mint (NM)/Mint (M)
- Still has 'HMV' price sticker at top right – record purchased from HMV, Oxford Street, London. I prefer to leave these stickers in place. They can be easily removed.
- The front is in excellent condition with an excellent shine (see pics).
- The open edge is in excellent condition with very little wear.
- The top left corner has some minor shelf wear (see pics).
- The back is in excellent condition with an excellent shine (see pic).
- Spine is in excellent condition (see pic)
Inner Sleeve = Near Mint (NM)/Mint (M)
- Cardboard picture sleeve with lyrics - Both sides in near mint condition.
Record labels = Near Mint (NM)/Mint (M) - Sides 1 & 2 are in excellent condition.
Vinyl = Near Mint (NM) - Playback is excellent. This record has been professionally cleaned using an SME/Loricraft record cleaning machine. - No visible or audible scratches. No discernable inner groove distortion.
