Keith Jarrett - Sun Bear Concerts Piano Solo, 10 LP Boxset

Up for auction is a rare Keith Jarrett 10 LP boxed set of 5 complete live piano solos originally recorded in Japan in 1976. This magnificent collection was published by Cavelight Music, BMI/AMRA and is an ECM production, 1978, printed in West Germany.

The vinyl is in pristine condition - for the picky collector, there is one miniscule scuff mark on the last side that in no way affects play. Otherwise, the vinyl is in absolute MINT condition showing no wear.

The cover shows minor shelf wear with worn corners and some wear along the left edge. There is also a faint discolouration along the bottom front edge. Overall excellent, solid condition. The interior is near-mint with a clean 8 page photo illustrated introduction. The binding tape between each sleeve shows absolutely no splitting or cracking. Each record also has its own inner protective sleeve inside each dividing sleeve.

"Keith Jarrett (born May 8, 1945 in Allentown, Pennsylvania) is considered one of the most important jazz pianists. His career started as a keyboardist for Art Blakey, Charles Lloyd and Miles Davis. Since the early 1970s, he has enjoyed a great deal of success in both classical and jazz music, as a group leader and a solo performer. His improvisation technique combines not only jazz, but also other forms of music, especially classical, gospel, blues, and various ethnic-folk musics."
