Description

Blue Note 4021 with 47 West 63rd St. address on both labels and bottom of back cover, deep groove. Record has “ear” and “RVG” inscribed in the dead wax. Recorded on location at the Five Spot in New York City. Includes Tina Brooks, tenor sax; Bobby Timmons, piano (on 3 tracks); Roland Hanna, piano (on 2 tracks; Ben Tucker, bass; Art Blakey, drums. Cover: VG+ or better. Some edge and corner wear. No splits. Some aging on the back cover. Crease on 2 corners. A minor scuff mark on the front cover near the spine. Record: VG. Visually shows some moderate wear. The first track plays the introduction by Burrell on Side 1 with surface noise. There are some surface rub marks on both sides though no obvious scratches. The noise occurs over an area that is relatively clean with no markings. The noise gradually subsides on Track 2. Side B has some surface noise but much less than A, still there is some audible crackles in a number of places. Audibly checked.
