Description
Incredibly rare and sought after original pressing of Kenny Burrell's debut album on Blue Note.
Everything checks out as a true first press: Kakubuchi cover, deep groove, Plastylite "ear", "9M" etch, flat edge, no "R", 767 Lexington address, and so on.
Vinyl condition: G+; numerous small scuffs and marks throughout vinyl, yet retains a quite bit of its gloss. LP plays with crackle throughout — some tracks with lighter crackle, and some about equal to the music. There was one skip during playback on the first track on side one.
With all that's said, it is a strong player overall and certainly benefits from the sheer superb dynamics and warmth of an original Blue Note, which compensates for any present noise.
Vinyl was ultrasonically cleaned prior to test listen.
Sleeve condition: Sleeve is as pictured; spine and both seams have excessive wear, but no presence of splitting.
