KENNY DORHAM Afro Cuban Music Matters (Blue Note) MMBLP 1535
Up for auction is a SEALED, non-numbered 2 x 45 rpm 2010 Music Matters mono reissue of Kenny Dorham's 1957 Blue Note release, "Afro Cuban". The 1957 lp was originally comprised of a previously released (1955) Blue Note 10" 4 track ep with 3 extra tracks to round out the required length of a 33 rpm release. One of the finest latin-tinged Hard Bop albums around, this is an essential lp in Dorham's fine body of work. Dorham was a vastly underrated jazz legend. Great fidelity on this one (I have an opened copy that I listen to......regularly).

VINYL PLAY GRADE: N/A as this a flat, factory sealed copy. Probably the 2nd best listen of this lp to an original mono Plastylite pressing.

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST.
