Description
Riverside 12-224, white label with blue banner and logo, black text, deep groove, original; Bill Grauer Productions. Leader, Drew, piano; Philly Joe Jones, drums; Paul Chambers, bass; 8 tracks. Recorded in NYC in 1956. Includes, standards, also, Monk's "Ruby My Dear" and 2 original tunes by Drew.
Cover Fair Entire top edge has split and a 3" split on the spine. 2" scotch tape repair on the top edge. Some scotch tape on the 2 corners of the bottom edge. Light scuff marks on the front cover that follow a record ring pattern. Some general edge wear and some paper loss on the edges. Staining and aging on the back cover with some small tears on the top edge of the notes.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There is some light dicoloration on the vinyl but the contrast in color is minimal and does not effect the sound. Side 1 has no surface noise. Side 2, Track 2 has a few light clicks. There are a few light clicks elsewhere on Side 2 but the overall condition is excellent. The overall condition of the record is close to Mint in spite of the cover wear. Moderately heavy vinyl . Audibly checked.
