Kestrel-Kestrel (Cube Records) Progressive Rock, Prog, Vinyl, Record
This is a unique opportunity to own an Excellent copy of the holy grail 1975 self titled album by Kestrel.
Highly regarded by progressive rock collectors, this was the sole release by a Newcastle based band featuring Dave Black who later went on to play with David Bowie. Copies in this condition are extremely rare so don't sleep
This particular copy is in particularly good shape. Vinyl is very clean - please see photographs - bright shiny surface - very very light scuff on track 2 side 1 - barely noticable - only when angling the record against a single light source. Record has very very light crackle at the start of either side - again not sustained noise more like very light - spatially distanced tiny pops - these barely noticable sounds only last the first few revolutions - then the record settles down and sounds absolutely great
so for grading purposes - a listening grade would be strong VG+ for first 10 seconds of each side then really EX+ for the rest of the lp - making the record EX overall . Please note that i'm Grading very conservatively so as not to disappoint. Labels are very clean - no discernable spindle marks. The sleeve is also very clean indeed with just a tiny sticker mark with very light discolouration but no tearing at the top right of the sleeve. I’ve photographed all the corners - they show very very light wear We would grade the record as Excellent overall and the Sleeve as Excellent.
A record of this rarity in this condition is unlikely to come about very often. We welcome questions and enquiries and have set the starting price low.
