Description

White label, black text, red logo. This is a rare session taped "live" by Bill Russell and Charles De Vore in 1957 at the Tip Top Ballroom in New Orleans. This was privately produced with a limited number of LP pressings. 7 tracks with leader, Valentine, trumpet; Ed Washington, alto sax; Louis Nelson, trombone; Joe James, piano; Burke Stevenson, bass; Sammy Penn, drums. Very rare.

Cover: Mint(-) Intact and clean with light wear and slight aging. Soft European jacket.

Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear no markings on the vinyl surface. A very few clicks which may be a result of the "field" recording. Essentially, no surface noise though there is some general crowd noise from the patrons of the Ballroom. This has special significance for those interested in New Orleans jazz presented in a "live" performance. Audibly checked.
