Description
Here for auction is the self titled album by 'Killing Floor'. This is the first pressing on the 'Spark Records' label with the A1-B1 Matrix. The vinyl is in excellent condition apart from a hairline across tracks 1 and 2 on side 1,which has no effect on listening. The vinyl still holds a nice sheen. Under bright light I can only see very very light paper removal marks,elsewhere. There are some spindle marks to the inner labels, which are more prominent on side 2. I have played the LP and it sounds excellent,just some light crackling in parts. I would rate the vinyl as a strong VG+ to Ex. I think a professional clean would make the listening experience even more pleasurable. The cover is complete and intact,but at some point in it's life,the back cover has come unstuck,and some sort of tape used -(see pictures). The tape was then removed and the cover was glued. Thankfully,it never tore off any of the writing on the rear cover,but the old tape marks are still visible.The spine of the sleeve is fully intact,with both album title and the catalogue numbers being fully visible.
The front of thel aminated cover is in much better condition than the back,apart from an old tape mark at the far left corner. There is no peeling of the front laminate. The corners also have some minor wear and there is some foxing where the LP has been removed and inserted back into sleeve. I would grade the cover as VG,it would be a lot better without the old tape marks,to the rear. A very solid copy of a very rare album and a great chance to own this much sought after LP. If you are NOT happy with the tape marks to the rear,PLEASE do NOT bid.
