Description
Released by King in 1967, cat # KG 1067; this is “It Won’t Be The Same” / “Turn The Key Softly” by Gavin Hamilton.
The B-side label carries an “A” in the centre of the label and the “B” in the catalogue number is changed in pen to an “A”. Clearly, it was intended to release “It Won’t Be The Same” as the “A” side, but King must have thought the limp pop of the B-side was more commercial!
This is a top, top copy in MINT condition. I think you will find it hard to find a better copy of this freakbeat 45. Other than the noted pen additions to the labels, there are just a couple spindle marks on the labels. The original paper sleeve has the official release date of the 8 December 1967 written in biro on the top corner.
All of these singles come from the same special source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. UK record delivery is an extra 70p and special delivery is £4.75. Overseas insurance will be either £3.50 or £5.50 dependent upon the value.
Payment by PayPal is preferred for all customers; though I will accept cheques or postal orders for UK customers. Overseas customers must pay by Paypal unless agreed otherwise prior to auction end.
